Hopefield Animal Sanctuary

September 22, 2007

Out with Barking & Dagenham Plus today, on a sponsored walk around Brentwood and Shenfield in aid of Hopefield Animal Sanctuary. Our route was nine miles long, and took us past at least two pubs, only one of which was open! We then went walked to the Sanctuary itself – which is not far from Brentwood town centre – and saw all the animals, which included horses, donkeys, goats, dogs, cats, pigs, geese and sheep. There were also some cows there – I wonder if they were offended when I walked up to them wearing a leather jacket???

I took enough clips that day that I shall probably make a video of the event and post it on YouTube.

In the evening I was out to see East of Java again, this time at The Bridge in Upminster.
