A Plusser attending the Food Safety Qualification

Last night we were all down the White Horse Inn, where the event of the evening was “Yes / No” hosted by Paul Scott.

Gemma, fresh back from Wellingborough at the weekend, regaled us with all the gory details of what happened at the National AGM. Plus is not just about wild parties: it also does useful stuff which will look good if you mention on your CV. For example: former National Training Officer Francis Wallington (HLM) is putting on a Food Safety Qualification course on March 26th. In a special offer for members of this Area, anyone who can actually get to the course (which is in Staffordshire) will be allowed to participate for free. Gemma herself intends to go: Francis reported that at the National AGM there was an upsurge of bookings for his course. It looks as if it will be well attended by Plussers from all over the country (see picture).

This Saturday (26th February) we have a fun night out nearer to home – the annual Anglia & South East Area Quiz, which is being held at Holy Trinity Church Hall in Barkingside. Time is 7.30 for 7.45pm prompt start. Cost is £8 which includes food.  Members who are interested please contact us so we can arrange food orders in advance (fish / chicken / vegetarian). Also, regarding drinks it is BYO.
