This Wednesday saw members of Thurrock Plus Group (formerly Thurrock 18 Plus Group) join other members from around the entire National Federation of Plus groups for the Annual Plus Solstice Celebration at Stonehenge. Some members took off all their clothes and joined the local Pagan enthusiasts in dancing naked around the stones as soon as the sun rose at 04.36 am, although it was a cloudy and slightly overcast start to the day which spoiled the affect slightly and brought goosebumps up in unusual places! Joe Gurney, a keen enthusiast of this relatively new event for Plus said “It was a shame that the Police cordoned off our celebrations from the rest of the public as we wish to promote this brilliant event as much as possible, and besides, there were some fit birds there and I wanted them to see my manly body!”

Upcoming events in the East Anglia Area will be the Kings Lynn summer party with BBQ and camp over, The Annual Outdoor Pursuits Weekend 2006, East Anglia Area Clubbing night and the new Annual Surf weekend in Cornwall.

Thurrock Plus is a lively and friendly sports and social organisation for people in the 18 to 35 age range; it is run completely by its members and offers a wide-ranging programme of regular events, often in conjunction with other groups in East Anglia Area.
