Larry Patmore RIP

This is to just to pay tribute to Larry Patmore, of Barking & Dagenham Plus group, who died on 17th May 2006 in a road accident. His funeral was today at Corbets Tey Crematorium. There were around 30 or so Plussers who attended to pay their respects, in addition to the members of his family. At the request of Larry’s mum, everyone tried to wear some red in commemoration of the fact that Larry supported Liverpool. Yours truly wore all black … with red socks, in honour of Larry. The music for the service was Sail Away by David Gray, You’ll Never Walk Alone by Gerry & The Pacemakers, and Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana. Not traditional funeral music I know, but it is what he would have liked to hear himself (he showed good taste). I personally knew Larry and remember him as a friendly and cheerful chap.
