THIS WEEKEND – Kings Lynn Mid Summer Weekend

July 17, 2017

From Paul Catterwell of Kings Lynn Plus:

Hi all
Only 4 days until the annual Kings Lynn Mid Summer Weekend at Tottenhill & Wormegay Village Hall, 10 Whin Comon Road, Tottenhill, Kings Lynn. PE33 0RS.
You can turn up and set up tents either in the woods or on the field from about 3pm.  For those who don’t do camping, there is a lovely boutique hotel called Andel Lodge, which is a mile up the A10.  Alternatively there is a Premier Inn and a new Travelodge in Kings Lynn
Included in your all weekend price of £13 is a buffet, which will be served from about 8pm.  Once the braincells have been fed and watered, we will be having a quiz, hosted by the one and only Chairman of WASH, Mr Keith Israel, who will educate and entertain us with his never ending encyclopedic knowledge of the all things strange and silly!
There are several people wanting to go on the train to Ely.  Transport is available to Watlington station (those of us who went 2 years ago may have to pay this time!)  The train leaves at 11.01 and takes 22 minutes.  There is loads to do and see in Ely.  Looking at returning on the 15.51.  Return fare as of today is £6.10.
We are ordering takeaway in for tea, you can choose between Chinese, Pizza, Indian or Kebab.  We will have the menus on the Friday and need your order and money by 5.30pm.
The evergreen Mr Adam Redshaw will be emitting some music from his speakers to break the silence during the evening.
Weather forecast is cloudy but mainly dry and temperature of about 20 degrees.
Hope to see lots of you this weekend
Paul Catterwell
