Community Group Gets a Full House for its Annual Poker Tournament

Members of Chadwell Heath-based community group “Barking & Dagenham Plus” were feeling flushed with success last tuesday when they staged their Annual Poker Tournament at the White Horse Inn. So popular did it prove that card-sharps from all over Essex converged on the venue to test their Texas Hold’em skills.

The overall winner of the evening was Miss Gemma Crader, 23 (see picture).

Gemma has a winning pair.

Club-chairman Richard Leach said:

“Our Poker tournament is such a draw, that next year we are planning to up the ante and use it as a charitable fund-raising event.”

Barking & Dagenham Plus is a social group for young adults aged 18 and over, which helps out local causes as well as providing an enjoyable time for its members.
