Press release: “Charity Darts Tournament in aid of local children’s hospice.”

Social group for young adults, “Barking & Dagenham Plus,” has held a successful Charity Darts Tournament in aid of Haven House, the local children’s hospice. On a sweltering summer night budding darts players came from all over the borough to the White Horse Inn in Chadwell Heath to try their luck at the oché, competing with Plus members. In the end, guest Andrew won the overall tournament: his prize for doing so was a meal for two at the White Horse (kindly donated by the venue itself).

This is just the first of a number of fund-raising events we’re doing this year. In September we are going on a sponsored walk from Benfleet, via Hadleigh Country Park, to Southend, dressed as characters from Doctor Who!
