Community Group Honoured For Charity Work

Social group for young adults BARKING & DAGENHAM PLUS has won an award for its work in raising funds for local charity Richard House. After successfully completing a sponsored walk in aid of the hospice in 2010, the group has received the “Terry Davis Memorial Trophy” from Anglia and South-East Area Plus.

Chairperson Gemma Crader, 21, said: “We regularly help out good causes – later this year we will be raising money for Haven House as well.”
